Finding your balance through menopause
Menopause can be a time of enormous change...not just physically, but emotionally too.
Perhaps you’ve noticed that you don’t quite feel like yourself anymore. Your sleep has changed, your emotions feel harder to manage, or your confidence has taken a knock. Maybe you’re experiencing hot flushes, feeling more anxious or overwhelmed, or simply finding that things that once felt easy now take much more energy.
And sometimes, it can be difficult to put into words just how much these changes are affecting you.
You may find yourself wondering:
Why don’t I feel like me anymore?
Why am I so tired all the time?
Will I ever feel like myself again?
How am I supposed to cope when my sleep, mood and confidence all seem to be changing at once?
If any of this sounds familiar, you’re certainly not alone.
Menopause is a significant transition, and everyone experiences it differently. But you don’t have to simply put up with feeling unlike yourself. You deserve support through this chapter, and the opportunity to feel calmer, more confident and more comfortable in yourself again.

How hypnotherapy can help
Hypnotherapy can offer you a calm, supportive space to focus on how you would like to feel and develop practical tools that you can use in everyday life.
Using a gentle, solution-focused approach, we can work together to support you through some of the emotional and behavioural challenges that can accompany menopause symptoms you are currently dealing with, while keeping your attention on the future and how you want life to feel.
The connection between stress and menopause
Menopause involves significant hormonal changes as the ovaries produce much less oestrogen and progesterone. These changes can contribute to symptoms such as hot flushes, sleep difficulties, anxiety and changes in mood.
At the same time, stress can add another layer to how you feel.
When we experience stress, the body activates its stress response and releases hormones including adrenaline and cortisol. This is a normal and useful response when we need to deal with a challenge, but when we feel stressed or overwhelmed on a regular basis, it can affect our sleep, mood, energy and overall sense of wellbeing.
This matters during menopause because stress can make some symptoms feel more difficult to manage. For example, poor sleep can leave you feeling more tired and emotionally overwhelmed, while feeling anxious or stressed can make hot flushes and other symptoms feel even more disruptive.
That’s why learning to manage stress and create more moments of calm can be such an important part of supporting yourself through menopause. The NHS specifically recommends finding ways to reduce stress to help with hot flushes and night sweats.
Where hypnotherapy can help
Through hypnotherapy, we can work on developing a calmer response to stress and helping you feel more in control when things feel overwhelming.
You may learn simple techniques involving breathing, relaxation, visualisation and focused attention that you can use whenever you need them...whether that’s during a busy day, when you notice yourself becoming tense, when your thoughts are racing, or when a hot flush begins.
We can also work on supporting better sleep, reducing overthinking, building confidence and helping you respond to difficult emotions with greater calm.
It’s not about trying to stop menopause or fighting your body.
It’s about giving yourself the tools and support to navigate this stage of life with greater ease, confidence and self-compassion.
You are still you. And you don't need to put your life on hold while you navigate menopause.
Perhaps you’re simply discovering a new version of yourself...and hypnotherapy can help you feel more connected to her.
Less stress. More calm. More space to feel like yourself again.

What we can work on together
Menopause symptoms can affect so much more than your hormones. It can influence your sleep, your emotions, your confidence, your energy and the way you feel about yourself.
Everyone’s experience is different, so our sessions will always be shaped around you...what you’re experiencing now, what feels most difficult, and how you would like to feel instead.
Perhaps you’re struggling with broken sleep and finding yourself exhausted before the day has even begun. Maybe hot flushes are making you feel uncomfortable or self-conscious, or you’re finding that stress and anxiety seem harder to manage than they once did.
You may be experiencing racing thoughts, feeling overwhelmed, lacking confidence, or simply missing the woman you used to feel like.
Together, we can work towards helping you:
-
Feel calmer and better able to manage stress
-
Develop techniques to help you feel more comfortable during hot flushes
-
Support better, more restful sleep
-
Quieten overthinking and racing thoughts
-
Manage feelings of anxiety and overwhelm
-
Build confidence and self-belief
-
Feel more comfortable and accepting of the changes you’re experiencing
-
Reconnect with yourself and the things that make you feel good
-
Develop a more positive outlook towards this new stage of life
-
Feel more in control of how you respond to the challenges menopause can bring
We won’t focus on everything that might be wrong. Instead, we’ll focus on where you are now, where you want to be, and what can help you move towards feeling that way.
Your sessions will be tailored around you and what you want to work on. The number of sessions you need will depend on your individual needs, goals and the areas we decide to focus on together. There is no fixed number that is right for everyone.
There is no expectation that you should simply ‘get through’ menopause or become the person you were before it.
This is about supporting the woman you are now...and helping you discover a calmer, more confident and more comfortable way forward.

Why online hypnotherapy?
When you’re navigating menopause, having the space to slow down and focus on yourself can be incredibly valuable. And being able to do that from the comfort of your own home can make the experience feel even easier and more supportive.
Online hypnotherapy means there’s no travelling, no waiting rooms and no need to rush to or from an appointment. You can simply settle into a comfortable, private space where you feel at ease and give yourself some uninterrupted time to focus on you.
This can be particularly helpful if you’re feeling tired, overwhelmed or have had a difficult night’s sleep. You don’t need to find the energy to get somewhere else...your session can take place in the comfort of your own surroundings.
You can create your own calming environment, perhaps with your favourite chair, a cosy blanket and some headphones, allowing you to settle more easily into the experience.
And the benefits don't necessarily end when the session does. The techniques we explore together; such as breathing, relaxation, visualisation and creating a sense of calm, can be practised in your everyday life, whenever you need them.
Most importantly, online hypnotherapy gives you dedicated time that is just for you.
A chance to pause.
To breathe.
To step away from the demands of everyday life and listen to what you need.
Menopause can be a time when your body, emotions and sense of self are changing. You don't have to navigate all of that while putting yourself last.
Your home. Your space. Your time.
And a chance to begin feeling more like yourself again
A note about your health
Menopause affects everyone differently. Hypnotherapy can be a supportive, complementary approach to help you manage some of the emotional and behavioural challenges associated with this stage of life, but it doesn't replace medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. If you're concerned about your symptoms, it's important to speak with your GP or another appropriately qualified healthcare professional.
