What to expect in a session

A calm, supportive space where change begins gently.

Starting something new can feel a little uncertain, especially if you’ve never experienced hypnotherapy before. So, let me walk you through exactly what to expect.

 

All of my sessions are held online, so you can relax in the comfort and privacy of your own home, where you feel completely at ease.

What to expect

1 - Before your session

Once you’ve booked your appointment, I’ll send you a confirmation email with everything you need - including a simple link to join our session. You’ll just need:

A comfortable chair or sofa where your head is supported


A quiet space where you won’t be disturbed
 

Headphones/earphones (if possible) for clear, immersive sound

 

A stable internet connection

 

Perhaps a blanket or glass of water nearby, as this is your time to relax and unwind.

 

Many clients find that being at home helps them relax even more deeply.

3 - Follow-up sessions

Future sessions (60 to 75 minutes) are focused on moving you gently toward the life and feelings you want.

Each session builds on the last, helping you strengthen confidence, lift your mood, and create a positive, forward-looking mindset.

 

Between sessions, you may notice small but powerful changes, including:

 

Feeling calmer in situations that once felt stressful
Sleeping more peacefully
Speaking to yourself with more kindness and belief
Feeling genuinely excited about what’s next

Feeling more confident

Feeling more at peace

 

This is a safe space where you can rediscover your calm, confidence, and excitement for the future, and start building a future that truly belongs to you.

2 - Your first session

Our first meeting lasts around 60 to 90 minutes. It’s a gentle, friendly conversation where I’ll get to know you and hear what’s been happening in your life, what you’d like to change, and how you’d love to feel instead.

 

This is your space to talk, reflect, and be truly heard with confidentiality. There’s no rush, no judgement, just understanding and support.

 

Then, I’ll guide you through a short hypnosis experience so you can begin to feel the deep calm and focus that hypnotherapy brings.
You’ll remain aware and in control the entire time and comfortably relaxed, like being absorbed in a wonderful daydream.

Most people finish their first session feeling lighter, calmer, and hopeful.

4 - How you may feel afterwards
