Plot Twist: I Was Still in There All Along

I didn’t just train in solution focused hypnotherapy...I experienced it first-hand.

When my children grew up and no longer needed me in the same way, I had a bit of a quiet ‘hang on a minute’ moment! For years, my identity had been wrapped up in being a mum. And I loved it... truly I did! But somewhere between the school runs, emotional pep talks and ‘have you checked your bag?’, other parts of me had politely stepped aside.


Solution focused hypnotherapy helped me reconnect with the person I was before motherhood; not to erase being a mum (that part is forever), but to remember that I was always more than just that role.

I realised I hadn’t disappeared. I hadn’t been lost. I’d just been busy.

Although I will always be a mother...and will always love every part of it, I am also a woman with her own thoughts, interests and dreams. I have a future that isn’t on hold, and a life that still feels exciting, meaningful and very much mine.

And here’s the really important bit: after years of pouring care, time and energy into everyone else, I finally gave myself permission to believe that I deserve that future. Not out of guilt. Not selfishly. Simply because I’m a human being...not just a parent.

Solution focused hypnotherapy didn’t change me. It gently handed me back to myself.
